Rønningen farm was established early in the 1900th. century.
They kept cows, gouts and sheeps here.
Ingeborg and Kolbjørn Sømåen bought the farm in 1954.
New outbuildings and residence were built in 1970 and 1980.
The first cottage for letting was built in 1972. Today we have got 8 cottages for letting, and a modern sanitary installation.
We have no longer any animals on the farm.
Milk and meatproduction stopped in 2002 and 2005.
The pictures shows parts of the farm and campsite, with the
mountains Elgpiggen, 1604 m.a.s. and Gloføken, 1357 m. above sea.
The farm with the cottages and the 4 acres site
for caravans and tents are situated along the
beautiful side of river Sømåa.
20 caravan spaces are conected to electrisity.
River Sømåa is perhaps one of the best rivers in
the East of Norway for grayling fishing.
Fisherman from all over Europe come here to
practise the noble art of fly fishing.
We have got our own fishing guide and fishing instructur living on the farm.
He also arrange Elk-safary and trawl-fishing on the beatiful Lake Isteren.
